We are building a collective of trailblazers — people who dare to think beyond convention, question inherited solutions, and imagine better ways of serving communities. At The Community Collective Foundation, we seek minds that are scientifically curious, hearts that are compassionate, and spirits that are willing to work with humility, courage, and purpose. We may begin without the privileges of large resources, but we carry something equally powerful: a shared belief that meaningful change is created when good people come together with integrity, imagination, and commitment. We invite researchers, practitioners, public health professionals, social scientists, designers, educators, clinicians, development workers, and community leaders to join us in shaping a collective that listens deeply, thinks rigorously, and acts responsibly for people, communities, and systems.

At Community Collective, we're all about turbocharging local communities with innovative research! We team up with nonprofits, health systems, scientific organizations, educators, and local leaders to tackle societal challenges head-on. Our data-driven insights help spark positive change that lasts. At The Community Collective Foundation, we work at the intersection of communities, science, public health, and development systems. We help institutions, governments, donors, civil society organizations, researchers, and communities understand complex social problems and translate knowledge into practical, people-centered solutions.

Our work begins with listening — to people, places, cultures, lived experiences, and systems. We combine anthropological insight, public health expertise, implementation research, field experience, and development practice to design, implement, evaluate, and strengthen solutions that improve health, wellbeing, equity, and resilience.

What we do as Collective

Community Health

Anthropology, Community Research and Social Behaviour

Community Health remains one of our core areas of work. We support programs and institutions working on maternal, newborn and child health, adolescent health, reproductive health, nutrition, primary healthcare, non-communicable diseases, mental health, elderly care, community-based care, frontline worker systems, health systems strengthening, and public health emergency response.

We offer support in program design, community engagement, implementation planning, training, field strategy, monitoring, learning, and evaluation.

Anthropology, Community Research and Social Behaviour

We bring a strong anthropological lens to development and public health. Our work helps organizations understand how communities think, decide, care, cope, trust, resist, adapt, and act.

We conduct ethnographic research, qualitative studies, formative assessments, community narratives, lived experience documentation, social and behavioural inquiries, health-seeking behaviour studies, social norms research, household vulnerability assessments, trust and care-practice assessments, and implementation context analysis.

This helps programs become more grounded, respectful, culturally informed, and effective.

We support partners in moving from good ideas to real-world implementation. Our focus is not only on what works, but also on how, why, where, for whom, and under what conditions it works.

We offer implementation research, program strategy, co-design, adaptive implementation support, process documentation, implementation outcome measurement, monitoring and learning systems, dashboards, scale-up planning, policy translation, and embedded technical support to government and development programs.

Climate, Environment and Community Resilience

We work on the links between environment, climate, health, and community wellbeing. Our approach recognizes that climate change, heat, water stress, air pollution, disasters, livelihoods, housing, and ecological disruption directly affect people’s health and security.

We support work on climate and health, heat stress, air pollution, water security, environmental health, disaster preparedness, climate adaptation, sustainable livelihoods, community resilience, and preparedness for climate-related shocks.

Education, Skills Development and Livelihoods

We support initiatives that strengthen learning, life skills, employability, and resilient livelihoods across the life course. We are especially interested in how education, health, climate, family, community, local economies, and social systems interact to shape people’s opportunities and wellbeing.

Our areas include school health, adolescent wellbeing, foundational learning, life skills education, vocational and livelihood skills, climate-resilient livelihood models, green skills, youth leadership, health and climate literacy, menstrual health education, parent and community engagement, school-community linkage, community-based education support, behaviour change in educational settings, and pathways that help young people and vulnerable communities build dignified, adaptive, and sustainable futures.

Emergency, Humanitarian and Crisis Response

Communities are often the first to experience the impact of emergencies and the last to receive structured support. We help institutions design community-sensitive and systems-aware responses during crises.

Our work includes community preparedness, emergency health response, humanitarian needs assessments, continuity of essential health services, risk communication, community-based surveillance, relief coordination, psychosocial support, and resilience-building.

Advisory, Training and Knowledge Services

Digital Technology, IT and Telecom for Development

We provide advisory and technical support to organizations that want to design better programs, generate stronger evidence, build capable teams, and create meaningful impact.

Our services include technical assistance, strategic planning, proposal development, research design, qualitative research training, implementation science training, public health and development training, capacity building, facilitation of consultations, documentation, policy briefs, learning products, institutional mentoring, evaluation support, and knowledge translation.

Digital Technology, IT and Telecom for Development

We design and support digital, IT, and telecom-enabled solutions for public health and development, including digital health tools, helplines, dashboards, MIS platforms, frontline worker applications, telehealth models, beneficiary tracking systems, and community-facing technology. Our focus is on making technology practical, ethical, inclusive, and usable for communities, frontline workers, institutions, and public systems.
